What is Lip Blushing?
Lip blushing is a semi-permanent tattoo technique that inserts colored pigment into your lips to create a stunning lip stain that can last up to five years. It allows you to enhance and define the natural shape and color of your lips to bring your dream lips to life.

Who Should Get Lip Blushing?
Lip blushing works on a variety of different skin types and skin tones, but please ask if you have any concerns or hesitations if it will be a good match for you and your skin. Of course, there may be some limitations and potential reactions are possible, but we will go through everything and what to expect during our consultation. Can lip blushing neutralize dark lips?
Yes! Lip blushing can help neutralize dark lips, scars, and dark spots on the lips. It is done by using a warm-toned pigment to neutralize cool tones and lighten the lip color. This process may take a couple of sessions before you see your full desired result, but it can be achieved.
Is there anyone who shouldn’t get it?
You may want to hold off if you are pregnant, prone to cold sores, or take Accutane or other retinols, but we will go over your history prior to your service to make sure you’re a good candidate.
What to Expect From Lip Blushing?
When we talk about cosmetic tattooing, it may sound intimidating, but it’s actually not a scary or painful process and leaves you with swoon-worthy results. Unlike standard tattoos, lip blushing uses a tattoo needle to insert many tiny dots to create a subtle, natural color as opposed to harsh lines. We choose a color that compliments your skin tone, hair color, and is close to the lipstick shade that you reach for daily.
Is it painful?
We apply a numbing cream beforehand to lessen any discomfort during the service so it won’t be painful but you will feel a stippling sensation. Make sure to relay any pain or discomfort to us during so we can address it.
Do I need to do any prep before the appointment?
Use a lip scrub daily at least three days prior to your appointment and avoid alcohol for 24-hours prior.
How long until the final results?
Your lips will be much darker right after the service and for the first week or so, but don’t worry, they will fade up to 50% when they are fully healed.
What is recovery like?
It does take a little bit of time to fully recover and see your end result. Your lips may form scabs and dryness, but do not pick at your lips! For the first two-to-three weeks, avoid excessive sweating, pools, harsh chemicals, and exfoliants to avoid irritation or potential reactions.
Do I need touch-ups?
It will be on a case-by-case basis, but we usually recommend a touch-up after the first 6-8 weeks of your initial service.
