Beach trips, bikinis, and denim shorts are just around the corner! Get summer ready with a Sugarlillies sugaring session to get your legs, bikini-line, and armpits silky smooth before showing off those tan lines.

For those who aren’t familiar with sugaring, it’s a hair removal process that takes the cake when compared to traditional hair removal processes such as waxing. If you’ve been putting off waxing because of pain tolerance or skin reactions, sugaring will make all of your smooth skin dreams come true!

What is Sugaring & How Does it Work?

Sugaring is an all-natural hair removal process that has been around for thousands of years dating back to ancient Egypt and Greece. Made with natural ingredients, such as lemon, sugar, and water, sugaring results in smooth skin with little to no irritation or redness.

The process starts with forming the sugar paste into a little ball in my hands. I then apply it to the skin against the hair follicle growth, and quickly rip in the direction of the hair follicle growth. This back and forth process is done over and over until every last hair is removed.

Why We Prefer Sugaring to Waxing

Any hair removal process will get the job done, but there are many factors to consider when debating which method is best for you. We’re here to simplify your decision and answer all of your burning questions. (Hint: Sugaring is our clear winner!)

All-Natural & Pure Ingredients

The sugaring paste is a mixture of sugar, water, and citric acid...yes, that’s it! No harsh or unnatural chemicals added, which makes sugaring the perfect solution for those with sensitive skin or acne-prone skin.

Gentle with Minimal Irritation

Sugaring is much more gentle than waxing for a variety of reasons. Unlike waxing which is done at a high-temperature, sugaring is done at room-temperature so there is zero chance of getting burned. Sugaring also doesn’t adhere to your skin which is a large reason why traditional waxing can be so bothersome since it likes to grab onto your hair and skin (ouch!).

Less Painful

Sugaring is inherently less painful than waxing. Granted everyone has a different pain tolerance, but most people find a sugaring session only mildly uncomfortable. Plus, it can be performed much quicker which makes sugaring an all-around winner.

100x More Sanitary

Each sugaring session involves one sugar paste ball that is used throughout the entire appointment. That means there is no constant dipping in hot wax or changing applicators with each swipe. The chance for infections & cross-contamination with sugaring is practically zero.

Less Damage & Breakage

Since sugaring goes with the grain of the hair follicle instead of against the grain like waxing, there is less of a chance of breakage and damage to the follicle. Less damage means less ingrown hairs!

Longer-Lasting

Sugaring lasts longer than other hair removal methods because it pulls from the root with a minimal chance of the hair breaking off.
